These are a toddler friendly boot. They are easy to get on and off. They seem like a good chilly or muddy weather boot. I can’t imagine these would be great in snow deeper than 2-3 inches with the handle holes and the velcro opening at the back.
However, they don’t replace Sorel boots for real cold in my opinion despite the descriptions saying both brands are temp rated to -40. I could see these being a nice compromise if your preschool or daycare isn’t changing kids into boots for outside play. Being from Minneapolis, I grew up in Sorels but have seen Bogs a lot on toddlers and so decided to give them a try during a muddy cool fall.
My son just spent about an hour outside with his dad it was 23 degrees with maybe half an inch of snow, my son came inside with cold feet. My son runs warm and rarely gets cold, his snowsuit, mittens and hat were all from affordable kids brands not “pricey winter specific brands” and they all kept him warm, everything but these boots did their job. I’ve been happy with these boots for putting on him to run errands or to ride in the jogging stroller in 30-40 degree weather but these will definitely not be his real cold or snow boots. We are currently living near Kansas City and I am glad Zappos delivered his Sorel boots in time for our trip home for Thanksgiving!

Like many other reviewers, we are repeat customers. My two-year-old daughter loves wearing these boots and they look great on her! While I liked a lot of the patterned Bogs options, they seemed too “girl” for my son to wear in the future, so we went with black for gender-neutral hand-me-downs.

My 2 y.o wears a 7 or an 8. I purchased a size 9 so she can wear thick socks through our MN winters. Hoping they are waterproof and keep her feet warm. Time will tell…very easy to put on and she loves wearing them everywhere!

Our little one is 15 months old and wears 5.5 He has wide foot and we have a very hard time in finding shoes that fit him. I was a bit confused by their sizing chart and at the end I decided to buy a size 6, which is perfect (there is the right amount of space in the toe) These boots are easy to get in and off, which I was pleasantly surprised by. My son loved them immediately and was able to walk confidently as soon as he tried them on. Really happy about them and will test them more in cold weather as soon as winter kicks in.

This is my two year old’s second pair of baby bogs. She runs all over the PNW in all seasons in these things. Yesterday we trudged through mud for an hour in the rain to get up to a coast lookout. Her feet were dry and warm and at the end of the day – the only dry thing on her. I love these things. She can pull them on and off, they are comfortable- she’ll wear them all day and hike for miles in them ( yes, she hikes for miles.) They’ve got great tread so for everyone else with a kid that likes to tear up and down trails and rocks, these have the best grip. Plus they are very cute and I’ll admit that the matching mom and daughter Bogs is not an accident.

These boots are the only ones my 4yo daughter with sensory challenges will tolerate. It’s her 4th pair. We purchased these about two months ago, and something is different about them. The snow sticks to them and builds up to the point where she’s slipping and falling all over the place. I assumed it was just the snow conditions the first time, but it happens 9/10 times. The top lining on the insole came off after the first week of wear, too. They’re getting two stars because they’re good for rain and mud. Disappointed.

This is the second pair of Bogs I purchased for my grandson after he outgrew his first pair. He loves how comfortable they are and that he can put them in himself. We love that they are durable and keep his feet warm and dry. He’s an outdoors boy even in the winter so he puts them to the test and they have lasted!

perfect!

I really love bogs snow boots for little ones. They are easy to both put on and move around in for my toddler. He is very picky about shoes and he loves these. I am already planning on buying a pair for my neice!

It’s a bit more than I wanted to spend for baby boots but third Chicago snowstorm this year and I have no regrets. They are easy to put on and completely waterproof while being flexible for my babe to still walk.

These are perfect for my oversized 8.5 month old who wears 12 or 18 month gear regularly. He can wear them now (not walking on his own) and grow into them at the same time. Highly recommend

So easy to get on and off my little guy. And I love the print!

Great boots. Got them at a great price. Comfortable and versatile. Will buy them again in the future for my child. Warm and easy to put on and take off. Will last a long time. True to size.

Hmmmm I actually did not buy these =))) somehow they got it wrong in what I bought BUT I did buy different colors of this style – several of them in different sizes for next year as well – the price was too good sooo… So far so good – it’s been a bit too cold in NE so only wore them on several occasions – what a breeze to put on! Lightweight! Waterproof! I’d chose them over winter boots any day when it’s a bit warmer, and feels like I will every day pretty soon with mid seasons. They are more slippery on hard snow than winter boots but that’s smth to be expected. I wish they’d come up a bit higher and again, that is to be expected with this style – I should just go ahead and purchase different style as well. Good product, will buy more and more!

My absolute favorite boots for baby/toddlers!

My daughter loves these boots. She wants to wear them all the time. I love that they go on easily, are water proof, washable and warm so they will serve 2 purposes for us in the PNW. I highly recommend.
Amelia –
Super cute and comfy for my 14 month old who has been walking a couple months(Size 5). We have a farm so she needed something to keep her warm and dry playing outside! My only complaint is how low the back Velcro area is. First puddle stomping adventure caused them to fill with water since it’s only about 2″ from the ground, but it does help them go on and off. They dried hanging upside down for a couple days
Ella –
These boots are the best. They are warm, keep tiny toes dry, and my daughter can pull them on herself with the handles. Highly recommend.
Alycia –
Love these! Will buy them in every size!
Tahira –
We love Bogs for our little one! This is the perfect boot, as it carries us through three seasons (fall, winter, spring!) and stands up to various different weather conditions, and keeps feet warm and dry!
Linnea –
My son is going on a year and a half, size 4, and he is pretty comfy on chilly mornings on the farm.
So glad I’m invested on these little bogs.
