Perfect shoe for sloppy conditions.
I work construction, often I’m stuck walking in mud and water all day these light weight but tough boots are perfect for this type of conditions. Sure footing easy on and off, I stow them in the back and put on my clean dry boots for the ride home and give the interior of my truck a break. I found the 12 a bit roomy and wear a wool sock over my cottons and they work perfectly.

Very happy with these boots. They do well in both snow and mud as they are very easy to rinse (mud) and the treads give good traction (snow). Was very happily surprised with the warmth and ease putting on and taking off. You can slide them off very easily with a big toe. I wear a 9 1/2 and ordered a size 10. I can fit two pairs of socks easily if I feel the need… but as I said, they are nice and toasty. P.S. Oh yeah… my feet don’t sweat either.

Very nice boots. Perfect for deep snow. Feet stayed dry and warm. Order the size you wear because they are sized correctly.

My wife ordered me these boots after our 2nd 20+ inch snow fall. I had been wearing low sneaker like boots and they were getting full of snow. When I first looked at the boots, I was taken aback by their large size. At my wife’s urging, I put them on- WOW are they comfortable. I have worn them through our 3rd 20+ inch snow fall. Now I’m wearing them when I’m outside in the rain too! They are just great!

I needed a waterproof boot for my 10 acres and found just the one. I also needed a size 15 which made it more difficult. These boots fit really well and I wear them every day. They clean off easily and are actually very comfortable. They are very easy to get into and slip off, too. The next time I need a pair of boots I will look for Bogs first. Thanks Bogs!

I really like the Bogs Rancher boots! I have to wear inserts for my flat feet and these have the room to do so. Also great for that extra pair of hiking socks I like to use. I first put these on and I did not want to take them off. I wore ’em around the house for an hour! Very comfy and felt like another layer of skin.

These boots are the greatest. I have purchased a pair for each of my six children and their spouses! If you like warm, dry feet, you’ll like these boots.

Great fit and very comfortable. I use them while doing grounds work around my ten acres and they have good traction, keep my feet dry and protected.

I really wanted to like these and they are definitely comfortable and warm. I was also pleased to be able to find them in my size (16). The problem is, the first time I tugged on the loop to pull them on, the seam tore at the lip of the boot. By the time I returned them, Zappos had sold out of my size. Bummer. I hope this is a one off issue and not indicative of Bogs quality.

I love these boots for cold, messy conditions. They keep my feet warm without sweating, have incredible cushioning in the sole, and are great at releasing most of the muck from the tread. They do look a bit different from the picture, with a small tag instead of printed logo on the side, and the tread is different than shown. You should wear socks that extend above the top of the boot since it can start to rub and irritate bare skin. You won’t win any fashion awards with these boots, but if you’re looking for utility these boots should definitely be considered in my opinion.

I cant say enough about these boots. Awesome. I live in upstate NY and winter has been pretty bad…my feet are toasty warm! I ordered them on a Sunday and received them 2 days later with free shipping. I highly recommend Zappos. Everything was top notch. My only suggestion is to order a size bigger than you need…the first pair I bought at a different store were a bit small.

Very warm and comfortable! They are a great boot. I like how the top half is stretchable.

It’s a very comfortable & warm boot. Not going to win any fashion awards, but I love them nonetheless. If you are looking for a reasonably priced winter boot that is super comfortable, very warm, & easy to put on & take off, look no further. I normally wear a size 12.5 or 13 in athletic shoes, but a size 12 in these boots fit me perfect. Recommended!

I wore this boot on a recent trip to Antarctica. It worked great. Easy to get on and off and very warm. It made the trip and all the snowy wet landings easy and comfortable.

To quote my husband; these are the best winter boots ever! They keep his feet warm and dry, are high enough to stop the annoying trickle of snow melting against his ankles and have decent traction. Note: I marked them as no arch support because he has board flat feet. Anything with major arch support is painful on his feet, so having minimal arch support is actually a very good thing in his case.

The Bogs Rancher boots are very warm and comfortable. I can wear my pant legs over them or inside depending on what I am working on. I like the neoprene because I can easily fold it down, tuck my pant legs in, and roll the neoprene back up. I do not have to fumble with trying to stuff the pants legs into a rigid rubber boot. I normally wear a size 11½ but many other reviewers stated that the boots run large so I ordered a size 11 and the fit is pretty good. I am not sure I will need thicker socks since the boots are so warm but there is a little room if needed. Because the boots are waterproof, they also keep sweat in so my feet felt a little wet after a while. It might be helpful to wear some wicking socks. These are my first Bogs and I love them. There is also a steel toe version available.

These work well for one season and then they fail. The first winter they were a good, warm, waterproof boot. They’re high and somewhat heavy and obviously that affects how comfortable they are to walk in. They don’t offer the support of a lace-up boot but they are a lot easier to slip off and on as you go in and out of doors. As long as you’re expecting to wear a big boot, these are warm and dry and far more comfortable than a regular PVC boot. But they’re also about 7 times more expensive and they don’t seem to last as long before the rubber cracks. The boot flexes at the back of the toe-cap when you step and over time the rubber flexing in that area fails and the boot cracks, even before the sole is very worn. I can’t really afford to buy a new pair of these every year so I’ll have to find something else.

The boots are easy to clean, and keep your feet dry.
I work in 10-20 degrees in Colorado, As long as I keep moving the boots are comfortable. When I stop to drive the skidsteer or truck my feet freeze. I have tried many different socks, none make a difference. I would not rate these boots at -45 degrees

The Rancher is very comfortable, but the tread wears out very quickly. The sole has nice thick, meaty tread, but the material is softer, almost sponge-like. I’m sure this contributes to some degree to the comfort of the boot, but it also wears out too fast.
My husband wears them primarily on dirt, grass, and occasionally gravel or concrete/asphalt. Within 2 months, the thick tread is worn down almost smooth. There is still a layer of sole left, but no tread. On any muddy surface without tread on boots, you slip everywhere.
Bogs went above and beyond with their warranty replacing them. We tried replacements, but they did the same thing. We tried the Buckman and it seems to have the same comfort level, but a much better sole and so far that is a better fit for his use. If the Rancher had a more durable material for the sole that did not wear the tread off so quickly, it would be perfect. I wish Bogs would make it longer lasting.

My husband loves Boggs. Lightweight, durable, warm but not too warm. Would like to have handle holes on the Rancher height of boot. I love Zappos’ customer service.

this is my second pair that I have purchased because I wear these twice daily feeding the horses during the cool/colder months. they keep the feet warm and dry

My husband LOVES these! Bought them for use on our acreage for mud/snow and they are his favorite boots now, doesn’t know how he lived without them! True to size and he says they are comfortable.

These boots are awesome so far. High quality for sure. I live in Minnesota where these are going to be absolutely necessary for warmth and durability. My only complaint is it doesn’t have a good strong toe to prevent breaking your toe if you accidentally kick a piece of pavement or something like that, which I frequently do due to my clumsiness lol.
I read one of these reviews that said a guy went to Antarctica with these, so I figured, Minnesota gets colder than Antarctica some days, so they’re going to come in handy.
If for some reason I find anything wrong with them, I’ll update my review, but for now, these are the best for the money, hands down.
They are really comfortable too.

I had just got these Ranchers as the winter season ended. Tried them on and they fit great !!!!! I know they’ll be warm as toast. A friend of mine uses them when he is making snow on or Nordic, and Alpine trails. He speaks very highly of the pair he has. I am looking forward to wearing them next winter, and my toes being toasty !!!!!

We have a working cattle ranch and these boots are the only boots my husband wears. Day in and day out, year round, whether we’re working the stock or ranch maintenance, these are his go to boots.
