The insole went up on the sides of my feet and I could feel them when standing on a hard surface. Switched out with other insoles. Yet, still couldn’t keep them because they were too loose. They were true to size in width and length, but too loose at the top of my foot, would need shoe laces. I need rain shoes for city walking and thought they were cute. Just didn’t work for me.

This is a gorgeous, stylish boot. Seriously, the photos don’t do it justice. The boots have a slight sheen to them, which helps disguise the fact that they are rain boots. They would be perfect, lightweight, versatile boots that you could wear for a spring or fall European vacation.
Unfortunately for me, the fit was just a little off for my difficult feet. I normally wear 8’s or 8.5’s, and the 8 fit well, except it was a little snug across the toes with my custom orthodics, and my heels slipped a little. Size 9 might have helped with the toe box width issue, but I bet the heel slipping issue would have been worse.
I’m bummed these shoes didn’t quite work for me, but I blame my difficult foot issues and not the boots.

These are beautiful boots. They have a nice shimmer and a slim profile. Unfortunately, I was looking for a boot that I could use for a day of exploring in the rain. If I had budgeted for 2 boots, these would stay. They don’t have arch support, but you could easily slip support in to the boot. I ordered them a half size up because I wear wool socks.

I’ve been looking for the perfect rain boot for three seasons and I finally found them! Love the Chelsea style and the material is flexible, not super stiff like other boots I’ve tried/owned. They also have just a hint of sheen, so I feel like you could dress them up or down.

These are so cute. I want to love them. BUT they have such a narrow footbed and it really sticks up into the shoe. These are perfect for a narrow foot and I think would be comfortable – but for medium width, not so much. I love BOGS, and wish these worked, but unfortunately they go back.

These are cute, and I wanted them to work. They do not fit my foot. I don’t wear wide width shoes, and these feel too narrow. Had to return.

These boots are cute and well made with a great insole, however they are to narrow for me.
Sandee A –
Cute, but run a full size too small. They do have a nice sheen to them which makes them looks less like a rubber boot. But just too small.

I really liked these boots at first. Good for rain and muddy weather, much lighter weight than a tall rain boot and I received alot of compliments on them. Unfortunately, after just about a year after buying, the boot started to tear down the back seam below the pull tab. Its sad because the rubber is ripping along the seam, so they won’t last much longer but I did like them up until now. I thought Bogs brand would be a bit more durable.

These boots are perfect for a spring trip to Europe. As recommended by others, I am usually at 9.5 but sized up to a 10. This way I can add an insole for support and socks.

Love these shoes, easy to clean and look great BUT they do scuff easily, and the ribbing of the rubber shows it pretty clearly, so these are not quite as durable as I originally thought. Good for walking around muddy sites, rubber is thoroughly waterproof. Not the most support but height and elastic make it easy to walk in. Feet will get sweaty and the rubber is a bit smelly in enclosed spaces especially when new. The green is a great color, neutral but not too bland. They are a little narrow by the toes especially so not recommended for wider feet, but mostly true to size. Size up if you want to wear with super thick socks.

I was looking for a waterproof bootie for walking around Europe. These were exactly what I was looking for, a good low bootie. I did as other reviewers said and sized up 1/2 size. I added an orthopedic insole and got the comfortable support I needed for walking about 10 miles a day.

I was thinking these would be perfect for living in the PNW and while they might have been, I returned them because the fit seemed off. I definitely don’t have wide feet and yet the footbed seemed narrow or oddly shaped and hit the sides of the ball of my foot in a weird way that was not very comfortable. Maybe it was just that pair. I generally have thought my feet are on the narrow side! They were better looking than a rain boot would be and I liked the general feel of them. I also got a pair of waterproof sorel’s and am definitely keeping those (they fit perfectly), so returning these as they don’t fit as well or look as good.

I liked the style of these boots and really wished they would work for me as I needed a pair of waterproof shoes for a trip to Europe. They were too tight in width and my toes felt crowded and smashed. Sadly, I had to send them back.

I’m giving these cute red boots three stars because they aren’t sized like the boots I’ve purchased in the past. I usually wear a 9 with a perfect fit, plenty of room but not too big. The Sweetpea 9s were almost an inch too long and had a narrow width. I talked to Customer Care and they suggested I try the 8s. As I suspected, they were too small. But really most sincerely too small – they stretched out and fit like tight socks. That’s a big difference between the two sizes. I returned them as well. I’m grateful for the return policy.

I couldn’t really tell you about comfort because I couldn’t get them on! I do have problem feet, but without a zipper I just couldn’t get them on. Very cute shoe but had to return.
Jacqueline –
Going back. I ordered the Rocket Dog and Bogs to compare. Bogs made lots of noise when I walked on my floor, they had less support and were less comfortable. Not to say they were uncomfortable. If you look at the sole, they are already peeling off. Disturbing because how many times have these been tried on? In short, Rocket Dogs were more comfortable and cushy and had a wide toe box and big loop to pull then on.

It’s honestly hard to gauge how comfortable these were or how much smaller I think I’d have to order these, they were SO narrow. I can’t tell if the problem would be corrected by ordering a full size larger or if I’d just have a way bigger but still narrow shoe?! I don’t think I’m gonna reorder, these seem designed for a person with a very narrow foot. I have a wider than many toe to arch area.
Kendahl –
This is a super cute boot. It is very narrow, though, so if you have wide feet, I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s also not very supportive–it’s a great slip-on shoe, and it works well to go out in the muddy yard for a bit, but the sides have absolutely no support whatsoever and it can become uncomfortable on longer expeditions.
Ingrid –
I ordered these to be summer work shoes on my ranch and they are very comfortable and stylish but not very sturdy. These are great casual shoes but didn’t hold up to walking or watering on the farm.
Kathleen –
These are perfect. I wanted boots that were waterproof and comfortable, yet looked okay enough to wear out anywhere. Bogs doesn’t disappoint!
Linda –
I ordered these booties to replace my first pair I literally wore out. I love these as I have plantar faciatis and Mortons neuroma and I can put my insoles in these and they also provide enough support while I’m working and I can also wear an ankle brace if necessary.
The second pair I ordered split the top of shoe from sole and water immediately leaked in. I contacted boggs customer support and they immediately replaced the booties. I cannot be happier. I will patronize this company not only for their product but their customer support and care. My next knee high boot replacement will be bogs!
Alice A –
So glad bogs is offered in a Chelsea boot. I have bogs in a tall boot from years gone by, they hold up very well. Great for barn chores.
Emily –
Comfortable, waterproof, cute!
Caroline –
This boot is waterproof but short. It won’t be too hot like a knee-high rubber boot would be.
